Getting There

Via Yellowhead Highway (#5/16):

While driving the Yellowhead Highway, take note of the many wildlife crossing bridges and tunnels. These structures play a significant role in protecting wildlife populations by allowing them safe passage across a dangerous barrier. Highway 5 runs from a junction near Vancouver, through Kamloops, then turns into Highway 16 outside Jasper and runs east through Edmonton all the way to Saskatoon.

Via Icefields Parkway (#93):

This road runs through much of Jasper and Jasper National Parks, along high-altitude and remote landscapes. There are many trailhead access points and scenic view pullouts along the way. The speed limit is 90 km/hr (56 mph).

By Bus:

There is bus service connecting Jasper to Banff, and from Banff to Calgary and Calgary International Airport. Some tour companies offer shuttle services to trailheads. Taxis can be found in the town of Jasper.

By Rail:

There is some rail service for tourism connecting Jasper and Vancouver.

By Air:

The closest international airports are at Edmonton, Calgary, and Vancouver.
